Illustrations

All illustration commissions are made with a combination of water-based media (watercolor, gouache, and acrylic,) occassionally with the addition of dry media such as colored pencil.

These works differ from Outside of the Box, portrait, pet, and landscape commissions in a couple ways:

• They are stylized in such a way that adheres less to any particular reference image and are generally less "realistic"
• They depict a story, song, poem, or idea rather than, say, an indivual or their pet

In other words, I'll happily illustrate your favorite song, but if you'd like a staight-forward portrait of your dog, you're in the wrong place. (Check this page instead 😉)
